James Gilmore enters a guilty plea before trial
On Monday, February 5, 2018, a jury was selected in Baldwin County for the State v. James Gilmore, Jr. The Defendant was charged with Trafficking Cocaine, Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute and Tampering with Evidence. The trial was scheduled to begin on Wednesday at 2:00 P.M., however, the Defendant entered a guilty plea before the start of the trial before the Honorable Brenda H. Trammell. The Defendant plead guilty to the lesser included offense of Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute, and Tampering with Evidence and received a twenty-five (25) year sentence with the first twelve (12) years to be served in confinement.
