Morgan County conviction on Andrew Richardson

A Morgan County jury convicted Andrew Jalien Richardson of two counts of Aggravated Assault, one count of Exploitation and Intimidation of an Elder Person, one count of Battery Family Violence, and one count of Simple Battery Family Violence. Richardson was convicted for attacking his own mother. Superior Court Judge Brenda Trammell sentenced Richardson as a recidivist, due to five prior felony convictions, to twenty years with the first fifteen to be served in prison. By being sentenced as a recidivist, Richardson will serve every day of fifteen years in the Georgia Department of Corrections.
This case was investigated by Officer Jonathan Mills of the Madison Police Department and prosecuted by ADA Stephen Morris and Chief Assistant District Attorney Allison Mauldin, Victim Advocate Makenzie Whitley, and Legal Assistant Kelly Calandra.
