Joshua Andrew Brock, 38, was convicted of malice murder for the January 2025 stabbing death of Prince Porter. Brock and Porter were inmates at Hancock State Prison. During a fight between other individuals, Brock came up behind Porter and stabbed him in the back. The jury deliberated for approximately an hour before returning a guilty verdict. Brock, who was serving a life sentence for armed robbery, was sentenced to life without the possibility of parole by Superior Court Judge Terry N. Massey. The District Attorney’s Office would like to thank the Georgia Department of Corrections investigators for their assistance in the case.
