On June 11, 2026, Bonnie Elizabeth Brown was convicted of five counts of Improper Sexual Contact in the First Degree by a Greene County jury after a four day trial. The jury found that Brown had sexual intercourse with a 16-year-old student while she was a teacher at Nathanael Greene Academy, a small private school in Siloam, Georgia. The victim was able to accurately describe Brown’s bedroom, and Brown’s cell phone GPS data showed the jury that she was at the victim’s residence at the time he said one of the instances happened. The jury deliberated for about three hours before returning its verdict. Judge Stephen Bradley sentenced Brown to forty years, with the first fifteen years to be served in confinement. The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Blayne May. The District Attorney’s Office would like to thank the GBI for its efforts in investigating this case.
