

Advocates attend Advanced Crisis Response Team Training
Five of our victim advocates attended NOVA’s Advanced Crisis Response Team Training in Morrow, Georgia last week. These advocates were able to strengthen their knowledge and skills on how to properly respond during a crisis. Corey Hickey was convicted by a jury May 21, 2026 on a 31 count indictment which charged him with 3 counts of Rape of a Child under 10 years old, 4 counts of Aggravated Child Molestation, 3 counts of child molestation and 21 counts of Sexual Exploitation of Children. Hickey targeted his roommate’s 7 year old daughter and sexually assaulted her over a 6 month period. In addition to the sexual assaults, he recorded the acts of molestation on his cell phone. Morgan County Man Pleads Guilty to Rape, Child Molestation, and Sexual Exploitation Charges.
On May 13, 2026, a 22 year-old Morgan County man, Rashawn Richard Sorrell-Tomblin, pleaded guilty to one count of Rape, two counts of Child Molestation, and eight counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Child and was sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole by Superior Court Judge Terry Massey.
