Domestic Violence Awareness Banquet hosted by Jones County District Attorney's Office

On October 11, 2019, the Jones County District Attorney's Office hosted a Domestic Violence Awareness Banquet. We, and other community leaders, gathered with members of the community to discuss and bring awareness about domestic violence. In hopes to make people understand that Domestic Violence is real and it occurs everywhere, we discussed cases that hit close to home- cases from Jones County and other surrounding Counties in our Judicial Circuit. We would like to give a special thanks to everyone who participated in this program and helped to make it a success. Victims' Compensation Advocate, Nancy J. Gordon, did an amazing job organizing and putting this program together. We hope that everyone attended the banquet left with more knowledge about Domestic Violence.
