Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month

Our District Attorney's Office and the Ocmulgee Judicial Circuit Domestic Violence Task Force partnered with Hancock County Family Connections, Hancock County Board of Commissioners, and Project Safe, Inc., to speak with students regarding teen dating violence on February 13, 2019 in Hancock County. Speakers spoke with students from Hancock County Middle and High Schools and John Hancock Academy. Topics discussed with the students included what teen dating violence is, recognizing signs of teen dating violence, and things that they could do if they were experiencing teen dating violence.

We would like to say a special thanks to District Attorney Stephen A. Bradley, Assistant District Attorney T. Wright Barksdale, Victims' Advocate Denita Hike, Hancock County Family Connections Director Regina Butts, Hancock County Board of Commissioners Technical Support Coordinator Terrell Reid, Youth Educator and Advocate with Project Safe Inc. Mary Hadden, and the many other agencies and people that participated to make this presentation educational and successful for all of the students.
