Morgan County conviction on Arnold McDonald

On August 26, 2021, a Morgan County jury found Arnold Merle McDonald guilty for the offenses of child molestation and 2 counts of enticing a child for indecent purposes. These crimes occurred on February 20, 2020; the victim was just 6 years old at the time of the incident. McDonald was sentenced by Honorable Alison T. Burleson to fifty (50) years with the first forty-nine (49) years to be served in the Department of Corrections. We are appreciative to the Madison Police Department and The Cottage (Athens Child Advocacy Center) for their hard work on this case.
