Bank Robber sentenced in Baldwin County

Arthur James Shackleford entered his guilty plea today for armed robbery of a Milledgeville bank branch and resulting crime spree. District Attorney Stephen Bradley described to the Court how Shackleford robbed the bank then hijacked a car in the parking lot to lead law enforcement on a car chase. Judge Amanda Petty followed the State's recommendation and sentenced Shackleford to a total sentence of forty (40) years with twenty (20) years to be served in prison. The officers and victim were in court to watch the proceedings.
